Ben took pictures with the fire department a few months ago and got them in yesterday. Handsome fire fighter isn't he??? Well I think so. :)
Ben has been loving it over at Station 3. The guys there are so personable with him. They have really accepted him and made him feel part of the family...fire family that is. The other station he was at had great guys, they just had different interests and didn't accept Ben as easily. We are a "peculiar people" and Ben really felt that there. He wasn't accepted because he doesn't cuss or drink or smoke. The guys at Station 3 don't care that Ben is LDS. In fact, they don't ever harass him about it at all. They have been talking to him lately about going riding on motor cycles. Most of them ride on the weekends. Ben would love to one day get a bike and go riding. Maybe once we get some things paid off we will look into it. But for now, its fun for him to just think about it.
Yesterday we decided to spruce up our house a bit on the exterior. Earlier in the week, Jerry helped us level out our front yard with some new top soil. Then we spread grass seed in hopes that we will soon have some grass!
We bought some new shrubs, flowers and a beautiful tree.
The light green are Gold Mound Spirea. They turn an orange/red color in the fall and have pretty blooms in the spring and summer.
The tree is a beautiful Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry. In the spring it is covered in awesome white blooms. It will be really pretty next year!
To the right are assorted annuals...I wanted some more color..The rest of the plants are perinneals because I don't want to have to replant all the time.

It turned out so pretty. I like the way you arranged the plants.
Hi Heather, This is Tina Vaughn, Ashlie Vaughn's mother. Love the landscaping, it adds character.
