Pepper Update - Post surgery 14 days

Pepper went back to the surgeon today to get her staples removed. We had been concerned that she might have some swelling and today she was carrying her leg quite a bit. So it was good timing to take her by the vet. He said she looked great. He took the staples out and said that her leg probably has some fluid build up. We are supposed to massage her feet...haha I know... and put cold compresses on her leg for the next week and she will go back check up next Wednesday.

We asked him what to do about her jumping all the time when she gets excited. He said just do what we've been doing. He said she is a lab and she's going to jump. He doesn't want to put her on a sedative because he said she will still jump on a sedative but then will be tipsy and more likely to twist her leg. So all in all...our baby is doing great! She looks a little sore today but I've had her sleeping with me today. ;)
